Scott Burns retired from Procter & Gamble Purchases in 2015 after 30 years. His last seven years were spent leading P&G’s waste minimization/asset recovery program. The program reduced solid waste sent to landfills by over 60% and saved P&G over $2 Billion. Scott was awarded the Phoenix Award for Purchasing excellence in 2011. Since retiring he has taught sustainability to Xavier University students, consulted on waste minimization projects globally and become a Climate Reality Leader in 2015. Scott is a graduate of the US Naval Academy, serving as a Naval Officer for seven years, awarded the Navy Commendation Medal in 1985. Scott now resides in Cincinnati, Ohio.
