Public Involvement Specialist, OKI Regional Council of Governments
As OKI’s Public Involvement Specialist, Florence is responsible for identifying the impact of OKI’s vital transportation improvements and investments on the Environmental Justice population groups in its eight-county region. Individuals in these groups include minorities, low income, persons with disabilities, elderly and zero-car households who are all encouraged to participate in OKI’s various transportation planning activities. She serves as support staff to OKI’s Environmental Justice Advisory Committee and also as Disadvantage Business Enterprise Liaison Officer to encourage participation in OKI’s contracting opportunities from firms owned and controlled by minorities, women and other socially and economically disadvantaged individuals.
Florence holds a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications and French from the University of Kentucky and
a Master of Education in Human Resource Development from Xavier University.
